The projects include development of high-voltage substations and grid infrastructure aimed at supporting industrial expansion and renewable energy integration across multiple states.
Siemens Energy India on Thursday announced that it has secured fresh electrical infrastructure contracts worth nearly ₹620 crore from state utilities and industrial customers.
The company said the orders include construction of high-voltage substations, grid modernisation projects and power transmission systems designed to improve electricity reliability and renewable energy integration.
The contracts cover installation of advanced switchgear systems, gas-insulated substations and digital grid technologies across Gujarat, Maharashtra and Karnataka.
According to the company, the projects are expected to strengthen transmission capacity in key industrial corridors while supporting rising electricity demand from manufacturing and clean energy sectors.
The scope of work also includes deployment of smart monitoring systems and automation solutions aimed at improving grid efficiency and reducing transmission losses.
“India’s energy transition requires strong and resilient electrical infrastructure. These projects reflect rising investments in grid expansion and modernisation to support industrial growth and renewable integration,” a senior company executive said.
The company added that rapid growth in renewable energy installations, electric mobility and data centre investments is driving demand for next-generation electrical infrastructure across the country.
Industry experts believe transmission and substation investments will continue to accelerate as India targets higher renewable energy capacity and expansion of industrial manufacturing zones.
